Hypnotherapy is the natural, yet altered, state where the critical factor is bypassed, allowing selective thinking to be maintained.
2) Will I be unconscious or asleep while in hypnosis?
No, you are fully aware of everything that is happening. You are neither unconscious nor asleep, but rather deeply relaxed.

5) What does the hypnotic state feel like?
Again, you are never asleep nor unconscious. You are fully aware at all times, just deeply relaxed. There is not internal chatter (critical factor) interrupting your thinking and you are able to allow the subconscious mind to do it's perfect work and provide you all the information you need to heal, improve, and grow.
6) Of what does a typical hypnotherapy session include?
The initial appointment includes a great amount of education so that you understand how the mind works and why we do what we do. I introduce you to the hypnotic state for a short time to test your responsiveness and discuss any questions you might have about the experience. During the education and discovery portion, we discuss the issue on which you would like to heal or improve. Then a basic suggestion therapy session will conclude this first session. Fully understanding your concrete goal allows me to recommend the appropriate hypnotherapy technique(s). Future sessions will be based upon your goal.
